Secure logins with 2FA

1 July 2025

As you should know by now, the weakest link in your website security is if one of your users has their password exposed, which can happen any number of ways.

Without any other layers of protection, a compromised account can allow someone access to your website administration interface and any contained information.

What 2FA (Two-Factor-Authentication) does is connect your login to an app on your mobile phone or other device meaning that even if someone has your password they won't be able to log in as you without access to your physical device.

In practice, you may be prompted for a six-digit code in addition to your password each time you log in, or periodically based on your security settings (such as daily, weekly, or when accessing from a new device).

There are also (paid) options for receiving the required 2FA code via SMS.

Please get in touch if you are interested in this security enhancement for your website.
